Jeff and Alyssa are the most kind hearted, genuine and thoughtful people ever. They’re SO sweet that they even left me an incredible thank you card with a baby gift inside. I met them first at their engagement session, then spent their wedding day celebrating with them and now consider them friends for life! Their wedding landed on a gorgeous Vancouver spring day (you know those are hard to come by in RAINcouver!) It was full of fun and laughter from start to finish. From a hilarious “first look” to Jeff’s sisters slaying their wedding speech - or should we say “song.” Ill let the photos speak for themselves…

Zarko & Katarina St. Archangel Michael Serbian Orthodox Church Wedding

I met Zarko and Katarina a while ago for coffee to chat about their wedding. We clicked right away, chatting about our mutual love for travel and all things wedding. Little did we know at the time that none of those plans would actually pan out and there would be several more “plans” over the next 1-1.5 years. The entire time they both stayed calm and level headed (I’m sure they would say otherwise) and that is a true testament to who they are as people. Not only is it a lot of work planning a wedding once, even more so trying to re-coordinate so many vendors and plan again and again with so many unknowns still up in the air during the pandemic. Alas, it all brought us to the most gorgeous September day where we finally got to celebrate the special couple. Take a peek into their stunning wedding at Saint Archangel Michael Serbian Orthodox Church in Burnaby below, it was worth the wait!

Dave & Sandi Sandpiper Resort Rowena's Inn wedding

Fun fact: I was photographing an engagement session at Derby Reach in Langley last fall when Dave and Sandi stopped me mid session and quickly wanted to chat! They are avid bikers and were out for one of their usual Fort Langley strolls. They stopped me and said “We are getting married next year and would love for you to photograph our wedding, are you available?” First, I had never met Dave or Sandi before. Secondly., they had NEVER seen any of my work. I gave them my info and told them to take a look and contact me if they still thought we would be a good fit. Sure info, the next day an email from Sandi landed in my inbox.

Fast forward to the September long weekend when I had the honor of photographing their stunning intimate wedding at Rowena’s Inn on the River at Sandpiper Resort. Sandi and I hit it off the instant we met each other. We both have incredibly type A personalities (big time planners) but are also very easy going at the same time. She had every detail carefully and thoughtfully chosen. Also, mid ceremony an eagle flew right over top of their heads, how special.

They both mentioned to me multiple times that “they were the least photogenic people ever.” I reassured them that I would happily prove them wrong. I mean….you can answer that question yourself….take a peek at the photos below.

Liam & Amelia Wedding Gastown Vancouver L'Abbatoir

Third times the charm right? Liam and Amelia were set to get married in Mexico when the big “c” hit. So they changed their plans and decided to get married in Sun Peaks. Still a destination vibe, but a little closer to home and in their own Province/Country. Well, those plans had to change due to the ever changing restrictions at the time so onto plan C they went! Amelia got ready with her best friend and mom at the Fairmont Vancouver. They had a gorgeous ceremony in Queen Elizabeth Park and a reception to follow in Gastown at L’Abbatoir.
