Anytime I get an inquiry for May 4th I always ask if it was an intentional date choice or accidental, I would say 99% of the time it is intentional. This was no different for Jordan & Mikaela, true Disney nerds according to Mikaela. Their engagement session included Stich onesies from the movie Lilo & Stich, which was captured by Mikaela's talented mother. Terry is also an incredible photographer, who understandably did not want to have to capture her daughters wedding but rather be present and enjoy the wedding. What an honor it was to have Terry ask me to capture her daughters special day. Mikaela had been following me for years on Instagram and was so happy to find out May 4th was one of my last wedding dates available for 2019!

Their ceremony was held at New Life Assembly Church in Surrey, BC. They said a short prayer before the ceremony, but no first look (no peaking!) A 'few' tears (happy!!) were shed on both sides during the ceremony. Jordan & Mikaela clearly knew they were meant to be together forever and had been waiting patiently for this moment to come. It was such a nice moment to finally be able to call themselves husband and wife.

We headed to nearby Bear Creek Park in Surrey for bridal party photos. Jordan & Mikaela made my job so easy. They are both genuinely easy going, considerate & welcoming individuals. And their bridal party was no different! We had a blast throwing cherry tree pedals and enjoying the warm sunny May day.

Off to Murrayville hall for a fun reception, great music, delicious food and accompanied by a Star Wars themed cake.
