I had the honor of photographing Crissy & Spencer's wedding in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Their intimate wedding was celebrated by some of their closest friends and family at the Crown Paradise Club . Not only did their friends and family get to witness their marriage ceremony but also spend the entire week with them celebrating. The ladies got ready in the honeymoon suite. The ceremony was held right on the sandy beach amongst the bright 32+ degree heat. Dinner was held at the local resort Italian restaurant with a 3 coarse dinner. As sun set we captured some more photos during golden hour - even on a horse! Their reception was situated on the pier surrounded by the ocean waves and the sun as is it went down. Check out some (quite a few!) sneak peaks from their big day.
Tyler | Cake Smash
I had the privileged of photographing this little guys parents wedding last year! He was even in attendance for the wedding, just not quite earth side yet! He was born literally days after the wedding. And, this April we got to celebrate his first birthday with a cake smash. To dads dismay - he even touched and smashed the cake!
Abbotsford Tulip Festival | Family Session
Last time Kimberly chose the beach for her family session and this year she had the bright idea to do it at the Abbotsford Tulip Festival . We lucked out with such a warm sunset among the beautiful rainbow tulips. They even have special hours for photographers, which allows us to get the shots we want with no one else in the way! Unfortunately we had to leave the dogs at home this time, but non-the-less our session was a blast. The Tulip festival is open for only a few more weeks (until May 1st) so don't wait to go check it out!
Tip: Plan ahead with lots of time, the HWY gets backed up for a LONG time due to the Tulip Festivals popularity.
Kirsty & David | Wedding March 31st 2016
Kirsty and David have a bizzare but wonderful love story. They met via Twitter (Kirsty is apparently very in tune with her Twitter skills...). David was living in British Columbia and Kirsty was in the UK (her home). Kirsty "happened" to have a trip planned to England in the near future and decided to meet up with David. They attended a concert and officially "met" for the first time. Many, many more trips were made throughout their long distance relationship. Only 6 months ago Kirsty officially moved to BC to be with David.
When they mentioned their wedding plans and ideas I was instantly stoked. Their venue was unique and suited their personalities so well. They got married at Castle Fun Park in Abbotsford, BC. It is a fun venue full of arcade games, mini golf, gun range, bowling and many more exciting things. We had the beautiful property essentially to ourselves to photograph bridal portraits. After the ceremony guests were given "play cards" which allowed them to play games throughout the venue. They finished the night off mingling with their guests and eating a very fitting dinner - pizza and pop!
Kirsty and David are so well suited for each other and were such a pleasure to meet and photograph. Both their personalities are friendly, easy-going and extremely fun. I secretly really enjoyed listening to Kirsty's British accent all evening too! Check out some more sneak peaks of their wedding below:
